In reality, his cystic fibrosis wasn't helping matters either and it was going stop him playing sooner rather than later anyway.South Australia's Chris Davis (Davies?) is one that has popped up in my head, he looked like he had some potential to be a more then udefull player but IIRC he retired due to injury.
