Yeah, as said in the other thread, the reason I won't have him anywhere near number 1 was a period of about 5 years where he was just awful apart from 2012, when he only played 4 times, and didn't seem to care. Remember all the unpleasant business started when he wanted to jack 50 overs in.

If he'd carried on in that pre-2008 form, this wouldn't even be an argument, and he'd been in discussions for greatest ever in an International side.
