Don't mind if BP repicks for R11 at the end as you can't not have a keeper. But it depends on what other people think.

Mike Procter

OS XI:

Joe Darling
David Warner
Sir Frank Worrell (c)
Sachin Tendulkar
Andy Flower (wk)
Sir Garry Sobers (6)
Mike Procter (3)
Imran Khan (2)
Dale Steyn (1)
Bhagwath Chandrasekhar (5)
Bruce Reid (4)

Wanted six bowling options because you never know when Bruce Reid can break down, hence Procter.

Excellent new ball pairing, 3 ATG all rounders, lots of variety in the attack, strong middle order with good depth to back it up, and an inspirational captain. Pretty decent. Andy Flower with the gloves probably the only weakness.

Can we all double check our team with the parameters beside each player now? I have no idea how some of the players in the other teams fulfilled some of the given parameters, so I'm curious.

The went two years without scoring hundred/taking 5 wh was silly I thought. It includes virtually every cricketer to have ever played the game.

I'm not a fan of the two batting-only parameters. They completely screw over anyone who's already got enough batsmen and needs bowlers. Those parameters needed to be discipline-flexible.

I liked them. Part of the challenge was to not overcommit early by picking too many batsmen/bowlers and screwing yourself over.

These parameters don't contribute to that challenge at all. You could have paced yourself perfectly well and needed 1 batsman and 1 bowler to balance your team with your last two picks, and then you get hit with two consecutive batsmen choices screwing you over for no fault on your end. Educated guesses are a challenge. Random unpredictable guess work isn't a challenge. That's a lottery.

Malcolm Marshall 'not playing against the West Indies' is a bit iffy.

Herbert Sutcliffe was supposed to be better away than home.

8-)
