Yes batsman are playing them better but peak Waqar toe crushers came in so late and so fast that he would still be cleaning up most modern batsman . However batsman have more scoring shots now so he might go for more runs and may not be as brave with that delivery as he was during that time so may see a reduced frequency of that delivery from him.
