Think it’s fair to say Cummins has passed guys like Pollock and Anderson. He’s now competing with Donald and Waqar.
Pollock was a better bowler than Waqar. Pollock did decline but decline happened after 70 tests or so. Both stopped picking 5-fers but Pollock's great output lasted way way longer than Waqar. It was 60-70 tests for Pollock. For Waqar it was 20-30 tests.

Pollock from 96-2003 ( 8 years run) had 280 wickets against non-minnows with avg of 20.xx. Waqar never had a run like that.

I would put , McGrath/Ambrose ... Donald ... Wasim/Pollock ... Walsh/Waqar in that order who played in 90s.

Pollock was also very good away from home in those 8 years against non-minnows.

It was before you were born but there was 'Waqar and Donald'. The two fastest bowlers in the world in their time.
Yep. Any kid growing up in the early 90s idolized those two more than anyone else. My run-up used to spill outside the building gate, all the way across the road, all the way upto the vada-pav stall. Used to have the wrist band and war paint too (well, Nivea cold cream, what a mess that would make). Great times, can't imagine kids doing that now, the place is all congested and gone to hell.
