Pakistan Tour of South Africa 2018/19

Really good effort thus far from Sarfraz. Was battling with his technique and his confidence early on in the innings but now looking confident and has found his way to score runs today. Proper Sarfraz type knock.

Really good 50 for a wicket keeper who bats at #7.

154/6 looks a lot better than 54/5. If the Pakistan top order hadn't crumbled, South Africa would have cried for having left out Maharaj.

I know I am being particularly harsh on the man.... but I don't like the way Olivier is bowling. Has got some great wickets with some vicious rearing stuff, but now just bowling back of a length stuff, I don't know if that is what he has been told to do, I hope not. Consistent fuller line and length with a vicious bouncer/rearing ball and/or yorker, setting the batsmen up is what I would like to see. He is not even always accurate with this back of length stuff. It is a bit unfair but comparing how Steyn/Rabada sets up an over, is chalk and cheese.
This statement absolutely should be correct. Reality is doing it's best to be wrong though.

On his way to another 5-for. He certainly knows how to get wickets. We've spoken about Harmer getting 100+ FC wickets two years in a row. Last year Duanne Olivier took 101 FC wickets himself.

He has started pitching the ball up a bit more....

The Pakistan batting has been disappointingly horrid.... no application, they could have left a lot of those balls well alone. Bit of bounce in the pitch but no demons; slashing unnecessary shots. This is typical SA/Newlands pitch, did something early flattening out with ball going soft and it has become pretty good for batting.
