Van der Dussen making it very hard for selectors to keep him out of WC plans.Going to be some big calls at the top of the order for the final squad.Would be criminal if Markram didn’t get another run in ODIs before the squad was finalized imo

This was the same for Reeza, Klaasens etc.. started well, looked good but ended up not carrying through, no consistency amongst our middle order.

He's more a really good clean striking number 8.... which would be great if we had a solid number 7.

Mulder is our only chance of having a quality bat at 7. Markram is our best chance to keep a solid top order, if he performs to ability.

That includes domestic and Jozi Stars where he wasn't even an automatic pick. He has been dropped by the Lions in the last 18 months too.

Done nothing special either... he has kept it tight but not been a big wicket taker. Scored 1 fifty and nothing else of note.... biggest thing you can say is he has not had full opportunities.

Vd Dussen is showing he actually has a brain and it is fair do's to him. Not the most talented but he is looking organised and knows his strengths. He has a 1 option which I like.
