Can anyone tell me anything about Sadaf Hussain? A 21 year old with 85 First Class wickets at 15. Nine five-fors in 15 games. Decent start to his career...
I noticed him the other day, I also noticed Mohammad Naved...
Mohammad Naved | Pakistan Cricket | Cricket Players and Officials | ESPN Cricinfo
158 wickets at 25, 22 years old...13 five-fors and a 10fer, not quite as good as Hussain but gee Pakistan's bowling stocks haven't diminished...not to mention Yasir Arafat took a 9fer in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy div. 2 final.

TBH, i always thought Sadaf was a female name....oh well..first time i heard of this player tbh...don't pay too much attention to the domestic series in Pak unless its T20.

Nice start to career for sure.

Javed Miandad refused batting coach role.

Not surprising to me. Miandad wants to be the head Coach, or perhaps even the PCB chairman. He was not likely to accept a lesser role. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any competent local batting coaches. I'd say go for a foreign coach, if one is available and willing.

Saeed Anwar? Zaheer Abbas?
I would prefer someone with coaching experience and they don't have any AFAIK. I know the lack of coaching experience applies to Miandad (meaning he had none before he first became Pakistan's coach) and Waqar as well, but at least they belong in the "all-time great" conversation in terms of achievements so they can get a pass in my book. If it were upto me, I would just hire a trained and experienced foreign coach. He doesn’t have to be a big name, just a competent one.

Hmmm, someone like Sunil Gavaskar wouldn't be too bad. The bonus is the Pakistanis would be able to speak to him in their own language. Not likely to happen of course in the current circumstances.

I'd go with Zaheer Abbas, personally.

Language will have to be a core issue here. You can only rely on translators to a certain degree.

My personal choice would be Inzamam. He was with the team not too long ago, knows a lot of the players since he played with them, and is respected a lot in the dressing room.Plus he has a good rapport with Afridi and Waqar,so that would work very well.Sure he doesn't have coaching experience, and i don't think he has ever expressed an interest in coming back into the game, but it's worth a shot.

PCB is obviously cash strapped thats why they are so desperate for a series with India my advice will be to wait for a couple of years and let the likes of Sachin, Laxman and Zaheer retire and then then play them current Indian side will hammer Pakistan 9/10.

Is there is anything about Pakistan cricket that you comment on without some conspiracy theory or,without some condescending remark?

Maybe in Tests (would say 6/10 or 7/10 though, not 9/10). Dead even in ODIs. India are no doubt the better side currently, but Pakistan always lift their game in HTH battles.
