Interesting point.James said:What's interesting is that if Inzamam is found guilty, will he be allowed to be replaced within the squad or will Pakistan have to manage a squad of only 13 players?
I remember some PCB officials raising this point in the press. They were supposedly going to ask the ICC. Don't know if they got that answer.James said:What's interesting is that if Inzamam is found guilty, will he be allowed to be replaced within the squad or will Pakistan have to manage a squad of only 13 players?
He has 12 wickets in 16 ODIs at an average of almost 50...adharcric said:I'd say the exclusion of Kaneria is interesting, if not surprising.
You usually take a specialist spinner to India, especially one of Kaneria's quality. Munaf's average is trash but he's a one-day regular because everyone knows about his ability and potential. The reason I only called the move "interesting" is because Pakistan have 3 solid part-time spinners in Afridi, Malik and Hafeez. The other reason is because of the statistic you showed above. This 14-man restriction is really screwing a lot of teams over. First Sreesanth, now Kaneria. Of all people, Rikki Clarke survived.Mr Mxyzptlk said:He has 12 wickets in 16 ODIs at an average of almost 50...
Why? Hafeez looks like our most solid player at the top of the order.shortpitched713 said:The squad looks good overall, but I would have taken Yasir Hameed over Mohammad Hafeez.
No,Younis is the most solid player at the topArmadillo said:Why? Hafeez looks like our most solid player at the top of the order.
I just don't think Hafeez is good enough at the international level, especially in ODIs. Hes a bit slow, and really why pick him when you can pick a proven (relatively) player like Hameed instead. Don't see why they dropped him really. Here's my ideal Pak side:Armadillo said:Why? Hafeez looks like our most solid player at the top of the order.
agree with u droping hameed was i think unfair. if u go back and check his last test and one day match he made half centry on both of them. his avrage is fairly good it is 38 in both one day and test. higher than butt, farhat and hafiz and i don't know for no reason he is out of the team.shortpitched713 said:I just don't think Hafeez is good enough at the international level, especially in ODIs. 1. Shoaib Malik
2. Yasir Hameed
3. Younis Khan
4. Mohammad Yousef
5. Inzamam-ul-Haq*
6. Abdul Razzaq
7. Kamran Akmal+
8. Shahid Afridi
9. Naved-ul-Hasan
10. Shoaib Akhtar
11. Mohammad Asif
For this tournament we have Farhat/Hafeez in for Hameed and Iqbal in for Inzi. Its still an excellent side, and I think it can take us to the final and maybe even give us a shot at winning.
