That's a good shout.Jeetan Patel
Finch himselfNicky Boje and Nathan Hauritz. I think they are the two most aesthetically pleasing finger spinners. Both had butter-smooth actions and Hauritz got some crazy drift.
Looked like a very promising prospect. Not sure what SL have been doing with their recent teams, too many changes and knee-jerk reactions. They haven't found anyone close to Jayawardene, Sangakara, etc.I remember Chamara Kapugedera having some sublime shots in the VB tri series (as it were) but perennially underperforming thereafter.
Flem was better than 'mediocre' under any definition of the word. He was a very good Test batsman.S Fleming
Agreed. Fleming's batting was definitely on par with Damien Martyn in terms of elegance, but he has some pretty solid knocks that are grossly underrated. His 174* against SL comes to my mind, that game was simply Murali vs Fleming and he got the upper hand.Flem was better than 'mediocre' under any definition of the word. He was a very good Test batsman.
He is talking about Flem's slip catching.Flem was better than 'mediocre' under any definition of the word. He was a very good Test batsman.
There was a post about great slip fielders and was just adding Fleming's name - not about his batting.Flem was better than 'mediocre' under any definition of the word. He was a very good Test batsman.
I wouldn't call Fleming mediocre tbh. At least, by NZ standards, a fine bat.S Fleming
