Well then it is wrong to compare the situation then and the cry of double standards. If the majority of attacks are of different nature then obviously the threat levels are different. It is easier to attack ICC and say "an organisation traditionally possessed of the backbone of a jellyfish, the moral substance of a loan shark, and a collective nous less than that of the three stooges. " because it has no repercussions. I would like to know IF Mr. Osman can question his own government about their failure to act in various terrorist attacks that have happened in his country. If not, Mr. Samiuddin is guilty of the same hypocrisy and double standards.

Rajiv Gandhi was killed in a suicide attack as well, his killers were caught. Suicide Bombers do not land from sky, they are prepared by some organizations probably in Pakistan itself or maybe in some neighboring country, one would like to know if there have been any investigations made and anyone has been caught or steps taken to counter such attacks in the future. 'Oh they were suicide bombers hence can not be caught' does not instill any confidence in those who are expected to tour Pakistan to play cricket.

PCB will still have no say. What Osman is suggesting does not make sense. If a player does not feel safe enough to go and play in country 'A', he will not go no matter what the security team suggests. His board can not force him.

Secondly, It is more likely that that this 'Global Security Firm' will advise them to do the same ( i.e. India safer compared to Pakistan) and then we will have to go through the 'What about Pakistan 2' from Osman.
Player cannot be bigger than the board. There have been many instances in the past also where players have tried to hijack Boards, and failed.

I don't agree with your contention that Pakistan will not have a say. Why not? They are still part of the ICC and like any other nation have right to voice their opinion. There is no way India can be regarded as prima facie safer than Pakistan after the Mumbai attacks. However England have toured India purely on the basis of Presidential protection. If Paistan undertakes to provide security to every team like India have done in Chennai, and provided it is deemed "satisfactory" by a representative of the security agency, then I don't see why the Board declines to tour Pakistan, unless it is blatantly double-standards.

I don't believe for a second that Osman is the average writer who will start moaning about double standards when Pakistan is deemed as "not fit for tour" by a security agency appointed by ICC on full consensus of the Board.

It is time He accepted the fact that there is a 'Problem', attitude like 'Terrorism is not going anywhere soon. Similar situations are likely to arise again' is defeatist and sounds like an accepted part of his life.
Hardly. It's acceptance of basic fact.

Not like he's in a position to be doing anything about it, is it? He's just saying that things are going to get worse or at least carry-on for a while as they are currently before getting better.
