Greg you fool. This was discussed at the board meeting. 2nd XI positions count in reverse. So 1st in 2nd XI Div 1 FC and OD and 1st in 1sts Div 1 FC and OD means a pick right in the middle basically.

Oh fudgemonkeys!

so why are people allowed to win games when they don't submitt sides, isn't doing well including submitting sides.
Well, lets look at it.

If a team doesn't have a 2nd XI manager then the 1st XI manager is responsible for posting both sides. However, if they do have a 2nds manager, then it is up to the 1st XI manager to make sure the 2nd XI manager knows when, how and where to submit their team.

Unless we want a system where 1st XI managers post a 2nd XI team anytime before the deadline as a fail safe, but that would make 2nd XI managers either pointless or lacking responsibility which would make it hard to judge who steps up to a first XI position later on.

Or the 1st XI managers can sit up until Midnight Sundays just in case their 2nd XI manager hasn't posted a team yet

Well Bugs and Andy seem to be doing it all season, post sides for their non existant 2nd XI managers.

It's not fair to the 1st XI manager if his 2nd XI manager is slack and doesn't submit a team.
Hold on, let me get this straight. In the early part of the season I had an accidental non submital and lost by forfeit, but now the rules have changed for the 2nd half of the season and its now its OK and not an automatic loss.

How is that fair, consistent or logical?

The rules cant be changed during the season.

Apologoes if I misunderstand the situation.

For SA to get the OD 1st Div title they're gonna have to get through QLD and thats gonna take some stuff, Hakon.

Should go back and award the wins for non-submittals IMO...

If I may ONCE AGAIN pass the buck here. Simon told me half way through not to award forfeits anymore. So, take it up with him again :p

I dont think there is any argument going on. Just confused people.
There is no need for a discussion.

We just need to be told the current format regarding non-submittals, why (if it has) has it changed and why it is fair to change the rules during the season therefore penalizing some and not others.

A statement is all thats needed to clear the whole thing up.

RE: forfeits. I think an easier solution would be for myself at the end of season to go back through the team sheets (or get the info from Jamee) and count the non-submits and then deduct the appropriate amount of wins/points from the table, or whatever.
