If anything he's a better long-form bowler; he averages sub-30 in Tests. He's injured though.

Haha yeah there's basically a cap on how good a Zimbabwean cricketer is allowed to be. Fans end up hoping players don't go to the next level or they end up leaving.

Craig Ervine already left once; he only came back because he completely sucked in Irish domestic cricket.

He already plays some T20 in this. It's probably not more lucrative for him to go do this full-time than staying a Zimbabwean international though, especially since ZC already let him do both as long as they don't clash.

I just saw that. His last T20 in Pak he batted at 4 behind Salman Butt and the Akmal brothers. Impressive, if not a bit shady

Apparently he failed an eye test to become a fighter pilot before he became a cricketer. Fascinating.

can someone tell me what Lanka sees in Lakmal he is 30+ with a horrible test record with very little chance of improving they have Chameera Prasad and Pradeep who are all better options then this bloke yet for some strange reason he has been the leader of their attack for quite some time now.

Pradeep is both a)older than Lakmal and b) has a very similar record
