Must've just teed off, impressive stuff.

Little off topic but I remember a bloke in my local league hitting a hundred off 22 balls. That's my story for this evening.
Bradman quality of a post.

But South Africa wow :-O   :boxed:

Wow amazing. Just checked the scores. Any records broken?
Highest ODI score.

But Boucher - wow, not even Lance Cairns or more currently Shahid Afridi probabaly wouldn't have done that, but if he does then I will happily accept the Tony Greig award.

Looked at Freidel de Wet's bowling stats, and they did look impressive (average and s/r) is as good as stats suggest he might be?

Although he does look fairly crap going by his List A average.

South African fast bowlers do have extremely good stats at the domestic level Craig which shouldn't be made much of. For example, Zondeki had some extremely good figures if I recall correctly.

Zondeki isn't exactly horrible though. Not really international standard but not far off IMO.

Pratyush,
You could probably picked a better example. A FC bowling av of over 30 and his best career FC bowling (6-39) came in Tests rather than SA domestic cricket.

His OD domestic career is decent, but no more than you would expect from someone with international experience and classed as an up-and-coming player.

Zondeki, is not a good example of showing that mediocre talent dominates SA domestic cricket, especially given his Test bowling Av is lower than his career FC av.

Very disappointin display from South Africa today against the Titans. Not too much in the way of positives I wouldn't think, Pollock batted well and the top 4 batsman all got good starts but failed to go on with it, something that senior batsman like Kallis and Dippenaar really shouldn't do, especially against a domestic side. Nel bowling very poorly again, even with the wickets of Bodi and Behardien. To go for 7.55 runs an over is unacceptable.

Interesting that the man who supposedly outsted KP from South African cricket has just cracked a good hundred against them.. Overkill!

Where is Francois du Plessis on the national team map? He looks like a good prospect, even though he did nothing on Sunday

He certainly is not the best OD bowler but has potential in the longer form of the game. He is quick and is certainly capable of taking wickets.

His career has been strange as he was effectively out of FC cricket for 2 years. He really has to take advantage of the upcoming season and capitalize on his potential and reputation as one to watch. He shouldn't really be close to Test honours at the moment, but another really good season and who knows.

Very, very good prospect. Capable of taking any attack apart. However, he had a pretty poor year last year and may struggle holding down a spot at the Titans. I rate him but unfortunately there is the possibility, given the nature of SA cricket, that his opportunities will be limited and he will be lost from the game.

If he gets ample opportunities this upcoming season then he must take them as its pretty much make or break for him now.

Another guy that has a lot of potential is Stephen Cook

http://content-www5.cricinfo.com/ci/content/player/44656.html

He will be an automatic selection for the Lions in all 3 forms of the game this season and he can really make a name for himself. He already has a good reputation as he was Standard Bank domestic player of the Year last year but he can really make people stand up and take notice.

Right. Thanks for correcting. Not the best example, yes.
