Poor DeVilliers had to play at being a bowler (seamer, no less! :))
And if he weren't a wicketkeeper I'd be surprised if he didn't bowl a bit more.
He really has a good action and isn't the most wayward in The World either.

No matter who he was bowling to today, he would have taken wickets. He was swinging the ball very sweetly. With two of his wickets not even the commentators could believe the ball could swing back so sharply at the last moment.
The Taylor wicket was a classic.
But it won't mean anything until he does it again against top-class batsmen.

South Africa struggling a bit at 219/5... Cremer with two wickets already, Heath Streak with his first since making his return. :)

Zimbabwe making a decent fist of this. South Africa 5 down and still behind by 50 runs.

Kallis finally coming in at 7.

Can anyone tell me what Cremer looks like as a bowler, any comparisions. Does he flight it much, etc.

I wouldn't mind knowing myself, the guy seems to take wickets but goes for allot of runs, is he like a young MacGill or something

Langeveldt

Soutie
Prince with a century.. Crikey..

Cremer didn't strike me as being too bad, nothing earth shattering, but he gives the ball loop and rips the odd one.. He'll bowl some good spells but he does not have the control needed in the test game..

Cremer seems very erratic to me. Either very bad balls or very good. Maybe just his youth. I do think he can develope into a very good bowler with the right coach, he's still very young. The best boeler for me today was Mpofu even though he didn't take as many wickets as Streak. Prince's batting was very patient and deliberate. No textbook strokes or exciting innovations. But it did the job and I'm happy for him. Kallis was visibily sick, he shouldn't have been there. But needs must and so good for him.

streak brings back some class into the zimbabwe team...!!! he might have made a big difference had he been in the team against bangladesh...

But that's about all he'd have made a difference to.
He's bowled far, far too much short in the games he has played (got away with it in the ODI fortunately), even if he has batted extremely well.

A club-standard wristspinner would be an accurate comparison.
Nothing compared to Murphy and Strang.

I felt uneasy just watching him.
He looked as though he could puke all over the pitch at any minute.
Not nice seeing someone have to put their body on the line like that.

So the wickets that he's been getting, all mistimed slogs caught on the boundary?

Boje out to Cremer -
109.5 Cremer to Boje, OUT: forward defensive, beats the bat and nipps the
stumps which brings Boje's innings to an end
