Didn't see a single delivery of the game. But well done NZ. Glad the lads did good. McCullum needed that knock to get a few naysayers off his back.

When we batted against Zimbos in Z I was reasonably impressed with their bowling. Sounds from the posts like it was a bit mixed today.

Well done Rossco.

Yeah. Well done McCullum. Did his best to sell Guptill down the river, and not content with getting a let of there, did a much better job on Williamson. Bravo.

Haha yeah there were whispers of that before he'd played a single First Class game.
One of those blokes who bowls with a permanently bent arm (which I find bizarre btw- how on Earth could it feel natural to bowl with a fundamentally restrictive/self-limiting action like that?). I actually reckon he chucks some balls and not others- straightens the arm sometimes when he gets lazy/tired.

**** youse ****s, Vincent is a gun. Had a great start, fell away a bit, hit a tonne in India then got dropped after a string of bad scores. Was recalled vs Aus at home (iirc) and managed to be NZ's 4th best run scorer in that series. Hit a beautiful double vs Sri Lanka, went to Zim and made a 90 before being dropped because he said he didn't want to open, when Bracewell was jerking the batting order around. Played one more test vs Saffies where he made 33 then 4 opening because Cumming was injured.

All in all, a batsman who was screwed around by being made to open and batting order shuffles. Am confident he'd have had a better career if he had continued on after that Zimbabwe tour at his preferred position of 4.

So how bout that Lou Vincent eh?

Always thought being named the short version of "toilet" was unfortunate for him.

He could even have been my favourite player of all time if he had used that ridiculous Mongoose bat in a test match.
