And Afghanistan beat Namibia by 21 runs. So UAE and Namibia finish bottom, don't think many here will be too gutted about that.

Really good result for Afghanistan, I reckon they would have been very pleased with top-6 before the tournament. Hopefully they can keep improving and then I'm sure some time soon we'll see them at a major tournament.

I agree with all of that. Great to see some application by the Kenyan batsmen as well. Alex Obanda must be skating on the thinnest of ice.

Hip hip Hurray Afghanistan a ODI team... Hope to see them play Odis against Pakistan & Bangladesh ASAP. Great going Afghanistan for Ur effort, ur a real inspiration for many teams down under. Congrats to Ireland, Canada, Kenya & Netherlands for WC places. Scotland thank god U guys could make it... Good days for cricket ahead... Hope to see these teams play against each other more often & develop facilities with the new funding & aim for Test status hear after than fighting for ODI status again.

Namibia - Were real disappointing in the tournament but no prob next time.
Uganda - Bad luck guys.
UAE - Should learn a lot from Afghanistan
Bermuda - Deserved this for their efforts & missed opportunities.
Oman & Denmark - Long way to go, careful against lower ranked teams such as Nepal, USA, Hong Kong & PNG. Might be difficult to qualify for 2013 WCQs if taken easy on them.

Once again wonderful tournament, love to see more & more tournaments among the NTP Nations...

Does anyone know the prizemoney/funding amounts the teams will receive?
The top 10 teams will qualify for the Gatorade ICC High Performance Programme grant funding in 2009 and 2010, in line with the new ICC developing cricket world funding policy, while the teams who finish 11th and 12th will be placed in the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 3 in 2010 from which two teams will progress to Division 2 in the same year (joining the teams who finished seventh to 10th in the CWC Qualifier).
and

The top 10 countries all qualify for an annual US$350,000 high performance grant, while extra Cricket World Cup preparation grants provide fifth and sixth with another US$150,000 and first to fourth with another US$300,000 annually.
