Really good recovery from 114/6, but underwhelming effort by the top order.
That might have been appropriate to describe women's cricket a decade ago, but now the teams are actually pretty well balanced in terms of roles and player quality. It's just that all of them play as all rounders when they go back to club/domestic stuff, so every player's 'weaker' skill is still pretty good. No absolute tailenders and very few, if any, batters who can't bowl. Makes for fun games.
I suppose as the participation levels and standards grow this will stop being the case, but for now it's pretty fun to watch.
Not at all. In School cricket you usually have a few gun players with the rest making up the numbers, often usually being only half decent at one skill.

Yeah, just seen her bowl today and she looks decent and swings it. So does Renuka Singh. Hope they are groomed well.
India's sub fielder should be Simran Bahadur, by default. She is the teams best fielder and India are missing a trick by sending Renuka as the sub fielder instead.
