The only thing Brits has added is the stability top of the order, made sure SA did not lose wickets, And with the low scores they have been chasing has worked ok. Its obvious this is what she has been asked to do, even though she looks in terrible form as well.

I forgot Anneke Bosch is also injured.

The s/r at which she is going on is only bound to put more pressure on the batters to follow in a crucial game. Not an ideal scenario.

What are the alternate options for no 3 position? Luus could step up and she wouldn't do worse. Who else is on the bench?

Also du Preez at no.5 doesn't sound convincing to me. She is their best batter in the middle order and has to be at no.4 with the likes of Luus, Kapp and Tryon to follow.

That was timely - Brits was just starting to look a bit more fluent there.

Strangely drawn-out third umpire decision, though.

I think Goodalll's the only other bat in the squad, but she hasn't been any more convincing than Brits. Chetty used to open, and I don't know the reasons for her dropping down the order, but maybe it's worth giving her a go back at the top.

I think du Preez at 3 makes the most sense, but I also think they want the experience at 5. I think Brits at 3 makes sense from a "we have no better options" and she is better at 3 than at 5 or 6. If we had Dane in the team I think Du Preez probably would have played 3, with Dane at 4.

If you put Chetty at the top where do you play Brits in the line-up, or who do you replace Brits with?

This situation is exactly why SA have du Preez at 5... lets see it work now and we take this home in a canter.

Kerr looking dangerous with almost every ball at the moment. Wish she had more overs left.

SA are going to pull this off aren't they?

Great WC. So many upsets. All it needs is for Australia to lose in the final!

Also anyone spot that bit of needle between Katy Martin and Ismail in the first innings? After Martin's dismissal, she seemed to gesture that she though Ismail was a little bit ****oo.
