This game looks to be heading for a draw unless there's some creative captaincy. But good to see Capsey find some form again, especially in a pressure situation too, from 34-3 to 244-4 was an excellent fightback. No doubt at all there's talent there, improved fitness and better thought processes would be the obvious place to start. I wonder if she's also performing better away from her buddy Ecclestone.

I don't know how many overs are left, but England A currently need 26 runs with 2 wickets left to win.

Aus A won by 25 runs. England lost their last 5 wickets for 12 runs with only 38 needed!!

A surprising win for Australia A in the end. I suppose in a game like this no reason not to push for a win over a draw, and England A got very close. The series overall likely had more significance for England, with a few players probably showing enough to get opportunities soon. Not sure any of the Aus A players (except Voll, obviously) are going to play much for Australia in the next few years.

Trouble is, those players were kind of the ones we already knew plenty about. Another 50 for Capsey today so signs are at least promising for her.

I admittedly don't follow English cricket that much, but where do you think Paige Scholfield sits at the moment?

She's 29 and has only played International Cricket against Ireland. I don't think she was really on the radar, but this innings might propel her forwards. Scrivens, Armitage, Capsey and Wong are probably the most likely to make the step up from this squad.

Cricinfo/ICC need to start recognising domestic women’s cricket in the same way as the men. There should be List A and T20 stats recorded for the women. If Romania vs. Abkhazia counts as a T20I for men then why the hell isn’t Essex vs Warks counted as List A for women? The statistical misogyny is glaring and I’m not sure why a bigger deal isn’t made of it. A couple of the right people speaking up would surely solve this.

I mean there is such a thing women's List A – look at CricketArchive for instance – but cricinfo cbf putting up anything other than the franchise comps. Which sucks.

Look, I don't care what it takes but I want to have statistically mis-informed debates about all cricketers, not just men. This means Cricinfo or whoever needs to pull finger and start providing this information on a publicly accessible source. This just tells me that it should be easy for Cricinfo as the data's already been collected.

Yeah!

The fact that women's stats are so opaque unless you have a CricketArchive sub is really sad. Hypocaust is a legend in this field, but it shouldn't be this difficult.

Which woman has scored the most T20 runs? Cricinfo says Bates, & they might well be correct, but their data is so spotty that we can't be certain because we don't know if Smriti's runs for Maharashtra have been counted in her 6942 because they only seem to count franchise stats (with the exception of NZ domestics, which seems to be grouped & counted).
