I'm still stunned that we have fallen so low as to have Chase as captain, even for a one off game against UAE. Look at his stats, they are utterly abysmal.

Skipper and 2 of the 3 selectors, plus Sammy coached him at the Kings. We're doomed.
It has to be said this particular lineup is dreadful. I think the only interest for me personally is watching Sinclair bowl at seeing Athanaze bat.

Chase of course brought himself on before Sinclair, who's apparently been selected as some kind of specialist 7th bowling option.

No, he doesn't average 30+ in any format. He did have a reasonable 50-over tournament last season (and least based on his average) but he still only made two scores over 50 and his strike rate was horrible.
So no-one really knows. Lack of other options in his age range I suppose.

I wouldn't call it dominating. He's one of the players that has massive loads of potential, but he's yet to apply himself to the extent he want to...

He had one good season. He had great pedigree at Under 19 level. But most of us feel he is more of a red ball prospect tbh. I don;t think he should be in the white ball setup.
Potential, unfortunately he hasn't showed it enough, even domestically he's inconsistent.
Athanaze has surpassed him and deserves a run of games now.

It's sad what happened to Hetmyer ..Hope-Athanaze-Pooran-Hetmyer with all rounders like Mayers and Holder is a dangerous white ball team..

Some of those guys are in the World Cup Qualifiers squad. I don't think we'll be getting back Hetmyer any time soon...but with Sammy as coach...who knows
Evin Lewis as well.
