1) Domestically he looks really good for 25/30 runs. Solid with lovely drives and flicks. Of course he has never been able to play long innings and has only managed 1 FC century. They clearly see something to work with during those starts. I don't, but they do.

2) We are not exactly blessed with openers at the moment. Gayle isn't available, Devon Smith is a proven failure at test level. They tried a middle order batsman in Shai Hope and predictably that didn't work so they've decided it's Chandrika by default.

3) Our selectors are consistently clueless and yet get to pick the team tha actually plays. Note the bowling attack in this game. I'm shocked they even managed 8 Indian wickets tbh. Shocking selection.
