We need to bat a hell of a lot better today and tomorrow than we did Friday if we are to have any chance here. Think WI will be chasing around 120 in the final innings which should be easy enough unless we bat really well.

That test has crossed my mind, though I think the deficit was only slightly over 100 in that case. You could say that WI being a weaker team than pakistan on paper makes up for that, I suppose, but if they maintain their standards of the game so far (and honestly their fielding can do nothing but improve) we're sunk, I fear.

Yeah, if we do manage to set them a target, them possibly choking is very much a possibility (plus I don't know what the pitch is expected to do later on). It's just our batting which is the immediate thing and which I have little to no faith in

Oh England are definitely in it, but Bet365 considers them favourites which surprises me. England need 300 minimum to have a shot and 400+ to be at least 50/50. That is not easy as long as the WIndies bowl well.

Add in if the clouds gather and it becomes a different pitch to bat on. Sun stays out and it will be good to bat on but can't rely on that at Headingley.

Holder such a solid performer, economical and keeps pressure on batsmen. Also can bat, I like him a lot

So in his 3rd innings now and he has had a great ball and a sloppy dismissal to get out but Stoneman looks to have more up top than most of the others we have tried recently. Looks an upgrade on Jennings anyway.

Think he is ideal as a 4th seamer, not enough penetration as a 3rd.
