So this has gone from 'oh this could be an interesting game' to 'oh yeah England don't do close games either way do they'.

What the hell did they have for lunch?

Yes Shai! Finally getting the runs his talent deserves. His last good knock won us a test. Really hoping it does again here.

Whoa, I was hoping I'd wake up to see that WI had scratched their way to a first-innings lead. I didn't expect that! Amazing. Well done Brathwaite and Hope.

The positive for England is that Stoneman, Westley and Malan are going to need to make runs next bat and if any of the trio does do well, it could be the making of their Test career, the first moment they actually feel like they belong as runs against Gabriel and Roach will not be easy.

BTW if there is a discussion somewhere let me know but i would be curious to read an English test batting pecking order for the best 10-12 bats.

Excellent from Brathwaite and Hope. Brathwaite has established himself as a solid test opener for West Indies over the last few years and if he bats with someone like Blackwood, Chase or in this case Hope, it takes a lot of pressure off him and he gets a lot of runs in the process.

Blackwood needs to go big here with Hope and set up at least 150 runs
