He's looking far too good for most of England's attack.

And this match is far from over; you really wouldn't be confident about England chasing much over 125.
We'll be fine I think, if we're chasing under 200. Depth will get us over the line in the not unlikely event of top order failure.

I think that English catching is just becoming an oxymoron.

I know we've never been the best, but standards nowadays are somewhere below pathetic.
Whether that's down to Bayliss not doing enough with them, or counties not doing enough to produce decent slippers in the first place, I have no idea.

I guess things depend a bit on conditions. Will there be more overcast conditions? Either later today or tomorrow?

I was watching Facebook Live of Sky cricket where Atherton,Willis and Bumble were selecting their Ashes squad and safe to say they have no idea about what's going on in CC

That 7-for against NZ in 2008 seems a very long time ago now. Probably the performance that properly established him in the team.

Just far too good from Jimmy. Most test sides would have been bundled out cheaply against him in these conditions bowling like that. Let alone our deeply flawed batting lineup. There were some absolute crackers.

I'm actually quite proud of how this team has acquitted themselves in extreme conditions despite what looks like a defeat. There are certainly good signs as I'd be surprised if they ever face better conditions for seam bowling than that again.

yeah. your batting stood up last test, your bowling stood up this test. there's a to lot take out of the series

chasing a 300+ 4th innings score and next test bundling them out for under 200 are good signs

Hopefully the batting can build around Braithwaite, Hope and possibly Hetmyer if he can live up to the hype. He's definitely getting another shot soon. Bravo coming back would also be awesome.

I'm skeptical of Chase now. Looked pretty hopeless all series. Maybe he's only good against spin

Holder looked more useful than ever
