I'm impressed with how quickly the 3rd umpire made the decision too. Didn't spend an unecessary amount of time re-watching the same replays. Seems like they got a competent one for once
Was actually a really fun day of test cricket. You wouldn’t cal it absolutely top shelf but it was great viewing.Great day for us either way tbh. With this side I couldn't have dreamed we'd be in this position in a pink ball test against Australia. We've out performed much better international sides with our performance on this tour so far.
Lets just try not to disgrace ourselves with the best tomorrow and make a game of it.
I mean; the kid looked guilty as sin when it was referred tbf to him. He knew he hit itIt's less that and more "am I actually seeing a mark at the point I expect it to be or hallucinating it" that's the issue
Yeah, great day of cricket. And in the end it's far better for the team that they got legitimately and seriously tested this summer rather than summer-of-Voges style dreck. Was actually a really fun day of test cricket. You wouldn’t cal it absolutely top shelf but it was great viewing.
They were saying on comms that of the six sessions so far, there’s been a wicket in the last over of five of them. Crazy stuff
just casual racism, sadGuess we know where cricinfo stand on changing the date........
- only had 1 wicket left anywayWhy did Australia declare with 3 days left to play ?
Meant that they get the new ball under lights twice. Massive downside of 80-over days IMO.Why did Australia declare with 3 days left to play ?
Should have waited one more over though. Cummins could well have blasted 20 odd and wiped out the deficit in that one over and you still have a little time to bowl at the openers- only had 1 wicket left anyway
- wanted to bowl some overs at night at WI openers
- cyclone in north Queensland was expected to affect play
2 wickets. Am fairly sure that the ball on which Lyon's wicket fell was preordained to be the final ball anyway (hence the running a sneaky fourth the ball beforehand).- only had 1 wicket left anyway
Hahahaha he very nearly did exactly thisI wonder how often he gets those slightly wrong and ends up caught at mid off or mid on. Definitely doesn't seem to mind hitting them on the up.
