Green's average down to 32.26. Has to be by far the lowest average of any Aussie #4 since Miller retired?

I have no issue with Green playing the ODIs tbh. There are some players for whom the freedom of white ball cricket is liberating and helps their red ball batting as well.
Not sure I agree he'd be one though. I think he needs to go back to the Shield and get his natural long form game going, then he needs something to make it stick in tests. Not sure what that thing would be though, it certainly isn't in the current coaching set up.

He needs to be given the mental clarity to actually commit fully to whatever shot he's trying to play. So many of his dismissals are because of him sort of half-hearting it and not quite being sure if he's made the right decision. It's not quite as simple as getting him to bash some more Shield attacks.

Think S Joseph should be going over the wicket here. I think he's struggling getting it in the right areas around full stop.

A decent sports psychologist.

It honestly feels churlish that we're complaining this much about the team - even if it's deserved - given that we were also all complaining about the competitiveness and standard of cricket before the summer started and this is fantastic viewing right now
