Don't get why green is backing away vs motie so much. Your not going to get more than a single from that shot and with the way motie bowls your a huge chance of chopping on.

I'm watching about 15 minutes behind, but Cameron Green is such a bambi. Looks like he's about to fall over every shot he plays

edit: and his ratio of hitting good shots straight to fielders early in his innings is ridiculous. Reckon he should just try and hit 6s (inb4 "that's not his game")

Then every once in a while he will randomly smash the thing 90+ metres and you wonder why he doesn't do that more often.

Real vibes of how Aaron Finch used to play spinners. They'd fire it in a foot down leg and he'd still be stepping on square leg's toes trying to whack it over cover point

Love how we need 3 and a half an over and skull is saying green needs to start scoring quicker when he's scoring faster than the required rate. It's so stupid.

27 years is insane. Would've thought they had mustered up a win sometime with Lara. Even Ambrose was around for some of that time.

Ambrose didn't play any ODIs in Oz post-97.

On the other hand, Chris Gayle never played in a winning West Indian ODI side against Australia in Australia.

Edit: added ODI; not sure if Gayle played in winning WI T20 side v Oz in Oz.

One time West Indies were unlucky to not win in those 26 years was in 04/05 @ the Gabba where Pedro Collins ripped through the top order to have Oz 5/43 chasing 264... but rain came to prevent almost certain victory.

Otherwise, the 18 consecutive victories by Oz haven't even been close; never won by less than 5 wickets and only once by less than 25 runs.

We have been terrible at ODi's for most of that period, though it is a surprise that the side with Gayle, Chanderpaul and Sarwan in didn't burgle at least one. Shows how bad our bowling was during that era.

Today's side is essentially a B unit at best in a format that we suck in even at full strength. Hence why, I don't hold out much hope for the next 2 matches. Alzarri is our only world-class ODI seamer, so we could do with him playing.

Romario Shepherd certainly built like a fast bowler @SteveNZ
Will be watching his career with interest (from straight mid off, ideally). Although I admire them most in white clothing, and Shepherd hasn't played any Tests.

To clarify, the ideal rump is one that is more sizeable in proportion to the rest of the body. Brett Lee had a beauty. Shoaib Ahktar's was a thing of beauty. It wouldn't be as note-worthy if it was someone like Oshane Thomas, who is big through the whole carcass.

Well for all the "HYPE" about Lance Morris he is definitely over-rated. 10 overs at a cost of 59 runs is not world beating in the best of cricket company. I've faced Thommo who was far more deadly than that and even he admitted he had no control at all. Morris just seemed "immature" at this level
Lance Morris looks like someone who is 'speed gun quick' as opposed to actually quick. No one had any problems with his pace, even though he's hitting mid 140s. Compare that to Joseph, who apparently hit the same speed but the way he bowls, it feels on you much quicker. I made the comparison with Ben Sears in NZ, who hits 147-148 at times, but I've never seen a single international player hurried by him. Didn't see much to get too excited about with Morris.
