Sanga back Crapoo to the hilt. Some journalists joke that he's the team pimp. Crapoo is very talented but never makes use of it. Yes, Mubarak is very less talented but a gritty player who gives 110%. ATM Mubarak > Crapoo.

Crapoo gives Ashraful run for his money as the worst ODI batsmen. Won't get into ZIM or BAN teams with the crap record of his.

Thought so, and AWTA.

Does Sanga back Crappu? Dire tbh, how in ****ing hell he gets to play despite all those utter **** performances?

Hell, Johan Mubarak>Crappu
Never. Dare say Hosni Mubarak > Jehen Mubarak. :)

Remember when Kapugedera first hit the scene in the VB Series back 2006. Looked a talent. Still only 23 but with the likes of Rajapaksa coming through, Kapu could be passed over in favour of the next generation of Sri Lankan batsman who going by the last U19 WC, look very, very impressive.

I would have Pollard come in at # 3 for 2 reasons. So far he's mostly come in to bat with few overs and expected to start hitting boundaries. I think he is a talent who has the ability to be very destructive in ODI like Gayle. Secondly if one of the openers fall he can still try to take advantage of the opening powerplay. This is the best Batting line up WI have ad in years mainly due young talents like Barath, Bravo and Pollard, also WI have more ODI all rounders than any other team: Bravo, Sammy, Pollard, even Gayle can bowl some offies. Best Windies ODi line up for me:

1.Barath
2.Gayle
3.Pollard
4.Darren Bravo
5.Sarwan
6.Chanders
7.Dwyane bravo
8.Baugh
9.Benn
10.Jerome Taylor (please get fit soon)
11.Roach
Pollard first needs to prove he actually belongs in this WI ODI side, and two consistent scores of four say otherwise....
That's why calls for him to play Test cricket are nothing short of ridiculous!

Malinga surely has to be the favourite to be the leading Wicket Taker at the WC.

Conventional swing and pace with the New Ball and reverse swing brought him 2 wickets today in the middle overs. Finally, the consistency of his yorkers and the disguise of his slower balls make him probably the best death bowler in the world.

Its kind of amazing that in this day and age an international game between two test playing nations isn't live on telly.

Anyways... weather seems to have been disappointing through this series, can we expect the same during the worldcup?

Agree that its a major screwup to not have it on tv.

As for the World Cup, its hard to say. I think the way things unfold in the upcoming week or two may "shed some light" on the situation.

This is a discussion that is going to reappear again and again with Darren Sammy as Windes captain, but surely we can't have Bravo, Pollard and Sammy all playing? We have to replace one of them with Andre Russell who can hit the ball a long way and offers a wicket taking option (allbeit he is occasionally expensive).

I would drop Darren Sammy under most circumstances but clearly that isn't going to happen with him as captain, meaning we have to drop someone with the potential of a Kieron Pollard.

Our batting is extremely talented if inconsistent, but our bowling needs sprucing up. I know Fidel and Taylor are injured but we could have picked Bishoo to make our spin bowling attack a little more aggressive and varied. Instead we have to rotate two ordinary left arm spinners in Benn and Miller.

Nah, that is the thing you should never do against SC teams. Never play your debut spinner against them. Even the #10 tries go go after them and unlike other team some one does go after them successfullyas well. Best is to have 5 - 10 matches under the belt berfore laying IND or SL.

Outside Roach, the Windies don't have any genuine wicket takers. Benn averages close to 50 with the ball, Miller 37, Rampaul 34, Sammy 44, Pollard over 30 and Bravo while averaging less than 30 goes at a fair lick. Only hope for them to do well here and in the WC is to bat (very) well and let scoreboard pressure do the rest.

As for Sri Lanka, Mendis career looks to be in crisis. Been decoded by the Windies, to go along with India and Pak who have mastered and subsequently blasted Ajantha. Not a fan of Herath but I think he and Murali could make a good middle over choke team.

It might not be a good idea against SL, but it would be nice to have an attacking spin option during the World Cup itself. To have to choose between Benn and Miller is depressing tbh.

Mendis's ODI record against India and Pakistan is quite decent tbh

Indians took some time to figure him out and then have thrashed him, essentially a complete reversal

Pak have played him pretty well generally. Save the Asia cup match in 2008, he averages 30 in 5 matches vs them
