Flynn's been great on the whole, we've found our number 3 IMO.
Don't be too hasty.

Or South Africa.... Those two countries give us a lot of grief at this stage. Destroy/hurt kiwi batsmen, and ensure that bowlers get dropped after each series. It's amazing how much rosier things look in test cricket when you aren't playing Australia
He's supposed to be a genuine quick. What's his pace like?Indeed, looks rather pedestrian.
Or England on seaming wickets, or Bangladesh in Bangladesh, or...Or South Africa....
Most were around 132-134. He was bowling into the wind, but Powell reached 142 bowling from the same end. He's supposed to be a genuine quick. What's his pace like?
That's the last occasion I can remember, will do a quick check though....I'd like to know when was the last time we managed that. The only one I can think of is that test against SA back in 2006, when Fleming got 270 and Franklin made 120, and even that was on an absolute road.
Loved the guy for a while now.Indeed, looks rather pedestrian. Really impressed by Taylor though, hadn't been able to see him bowl since their last tour here and his improvement since has been sensational. Is it even the same guy?
What a surprise that we have to go back to Richardson's era to find one. That's the last occasion I can remember, will do a quick check though....
Bangladesh earlier this year, but they don't exactly count.
SA 2006, roaaaad
Zim... don't really count.
Sri Lanka 2005 on a total road
2004 on a decent pitch, aha!
Well Taylor is a genuine century maker, so we could have a new era in regards to that, but it takes two baby. What a surprise that we have to go back to Richardson's era to find one.
Good dear god, two centuries from NZ v 1 ton from the English and the later wins. That's the last occasion I can remember, will do a quick check though....

We also needs a solid platform. Both of Taylor's hundreds so far have come in instances where the top three have done their job (more or less).Well Taylor is a genuine century maker, so we could have a new era in regards to that, but it takes two baby.
Bahnz is always miserbale. I'm sure he's a closet fanboy optimist. We're being a bit pessimistic here aren't we? It was a top first session for NZ, I'm really excited about our prospects in this match.
Flynn >>>>>>>> than your average CD flat track basher.Good first session. Pity Taylor and Powell aren't getting any support from the pie throwers.
How seems to be trying to smack his way back into form andh e's abandoning the classic Jamie How game style, to his detriment imo.
Flynn has been a bit streaky, but kudos to him for batting as well as he has. He must pass fifty though to start convincing me.
McIntosh survived, which is good. He'd be cannon fodder on quick pitches though, taking his eyes off the pull when he pulls and a distinct lack of footwork. But, he's still there and handles pressure, which many others can't.
It's odd to think that at such an early stage in his career Taylor already has a very very big chance to surpass Flemings hundred tally with relative ease.We also needs a solid platform. Both of Taylor's hundreds so far have come in instances where the top three have done their job (more or less).
