Sounds like Watling may be back for the next test, with Blundell moving back to opener and Young dropping out. No mention of CDG returning though.
Yeah Lord Colin was ruled out for both Tests before they named the squad. I don't think he's even been in the bubble since then.

Rather than dazzling you with the Basin's pace and carry, just keeping this sort of first-class cricket from earlier in the season unseen by the wider world will probably become the goal.
Yeah, these sort of rogues. Get the most protective batting gloves anyone can make for you prepared and ready to wear on Friday, just in case.

Chris Martin used to get great carry at the Basin every Test, while others you'd expect to never really did. I remember being surprised at the difference in carry between Martin and Tuffey in particular in a game they both opened in (against Pakistan I think - and weirdly enough I think Tuffehhhh took the wickets anyway).

Weird but awesome venue. Can't wait to get there one day. Might have been this year but for covid.

Moss

International Captain
As far as Adi Ashok is concerned, all my sources been on my case about him for 18 months now. He's been working a tonne with Barrington and Tarun and they all rate him very highly. My only concern is that constant push for a leggie, (which I'm all for) but for the wrong reasons ("OMG he bowled a wrongun") type malarkey our commentators and generally public get sucked into. From what I've heard and the little clips I seen he seems a GENUINE talent but I would hate for him to be pushed TOO quickly and learning on the job.
I'm assuming Barrington here refers to Barrington Rowland? He was actually a senior (by several years) at school in Bangalore. Went on to open the batting for Karnataka in Ranji and was even (very occasionally) discussed as a national prospect. Then he disappeared all of a sudden, and in those days of relatively muted media coverage we found out much later he had migrated (like a lot of Anglo-Indians) to New Zealand.

Did a bit of googling and found he's been involved in a fair bit of coaching in NZ. Glad to see he's been able to leave his mark on the game in some small way. Random fact, I believe his dad was a massive fan of the England batting great Ken Barrington and thus named him so.

So Roach and Dowrich flying home and Hetmyer and Keemo are both nursing injuries; concussion and groin, respectively.

only Da Silva added to the squad...
So the final eleven for the second test might look like:

1.Brathwaite
2. Campbell
3. Bravo
4. Brookes
5. Chase
6. Blackwood
7. Da silva
8. Holder
9. Joseph
10. Chemar
11. Gabriel

I don’t see Cornwall getting a game
