Yeah, can Adam Gilchrist bowl 120km/h wobblers? In Gilchrist's dreams. Colin de Viv more like.
I mean probably, but not like the Colin.

Hamiltonians for ya.Enjoying the shrieking from the crowd
Think he'd be able to bat with more freedom at 8, too. Don't think the extra pressure of 6 is doing him any favours.I'm so confused as to why they're insisting on shoving santner at 6 when we have cdg and blunders. His main role is to bowl tidy overs, score 25 at 8 and dustbowl insurance. If you're wanting something else then he shouldn't be picked.
I think the reverse applies for de Grandhomme and Blundell, less pressure / play your natural game at #7 and #8, so perhaps more benefit in the current line-up to have Santner at #6. May change from next season, could see either Blundell or Seifert at long term test #6.Think he'd [Santner] be able to bat with more freedom at 8, too. Don't think the extra pressure of 6 is doing him any favours.
Optimistic. I'd be happy with 330 from here. Not a bad day 1 score, but that’s obviously disappointing given how well placed we were at the half way point of the day. Hoping Blundell and the tail can somehow push us up to 350 tomorrow.
.
Beej is probably done tbhWatling should bat at #6 tbh, and if he's injured then Blundell should. Colin at #7 (tho #6 wouldn't offend me) with Santa at #8.
I can also see Watling or even Blundell playing at #5 as specialist batsmen (Blundell has batted #4 for Wellington). Not fussed really. Seifert/Cleaver hovering around the fringes is nice option depth to have for keepers since I think Seifert is the goods.
Think he'll remain first choice if fit. Strange times however for NZ's test specialists - Raval, Watling, Wagner, Blundell (though he may yet break into the limited overs side). They'll be playing so little test cricket over the next couple of years and both Watling and Wagner are on the wrong side of 30. Looks like there's enough depth in the keeping department if someone's needed to replace Watling in the medium term, though Wagner has shown himself to be indispensable so we'd better hope he has a good 5 years left in him.Beej is probably done tbh
