Like the West Indies winning 4-3 with a worse bowling attack the last time they toured India?Actually, it's what happen in the past that leads me to believe India will actually do good here.
You'd think that India's woeful form would mean that there's loads of pressure on the players. And I think you underestimate how difficult an Indian crowd can be on its cricketers. India dare not fail in front of them this close to the World Cup. I'd say the pressure is greater on India at home than it was in South Africa, because few expected them to compete in South Africa.I agree, at home, no pressure for the players and more importantly India need to win a few games to create that faux scent that they actually might do something in the World Cup.
I wouldn't say he's unable to. He's only failed to cross 40 on 3 occasions in 10 innings in Australia. He averages 54podd there. And you generally need footwork to score runs against Australia in Australia.Him hitting 100 is actually damning evidence against him. It shows that he isn't necessarily out of form...he is just unable to perform in conditions where you need footwork to survive.
No, not really.Him hitting 100 is actually damning evidence against him. It shows that he isn't necessarily out of form...he is just unable to perform in conditions where you need footwork to survive.
If you're going by domestic form, you can't go past Joginder Sharma and Gagandeep Singh. They have been doing what Bose did this year consistently for several seasons.honestbharani said:Bose has been in outstanding form and must be rewarded.
The squad will probably be a 15-man squad but there's no way Sharma should find a place. He's had an awesome debut season and I'm a huge fan of his - check my sig - but this is not the time to give players exposure. We need to focus on WC preparations and nothing else. The selectors should consider Sharma after the World Cup.honestbharani said:If the squad is a 15 member squad, then I would add Rohit Sharma, just to give him the chance to be around the better players of India and hopefully, learn from it.
Where the hell did you get that. THey aren't showing it in the Cricinfo report.Dravid (c), Tendulkar (vc), Ganguly, Uthappa, Gambhir, Raina, Dhoni, Karthik, Harbhajan, Powar, Joginder, Zaheer, Sreesanth, Agarkar, RP Singh
