I have to admire Dhoni for what he did actually. Captain in a Test match; did what he thought was right in the context of the game. Would've been difficult. I actually think it was the wrong decision even on that level but ups for the integrity.

Yeah indeed.

Was just thinking really; he's at such a crossroads right now as a young batsman that it could be disastrous to give him the captaincy if Sammy is dropped after this series. There literally aren't any even remotely decent options though. All the settled members of the side would either make terrible captains or just don't need it on their plate right now. You'd have to think about giving it to Shillingford I guess.

Chanderpaul would be right up there with the worst captains I have ever seen in professional cricket. He was truly awful.

I think Gayle's been unofficially banned from captaincy from a few reasons (he was actually quite good when he had the job) and Samuels isn't exactly what you'd call a uniting leader or a thinking man's cricketer, good bat as he is. Ramdin has been vice captain for ages but his spot should be in jeopardy. That said, it shouldn't be in more jeopardy than Sammy's and at least with Ramdin you know you probably wouldn't actually gain much from dropping him for Walton or Charles anyway, and he'd never mess with team balance.
