Sidebottom missed the first test though - I'd be somewhat hesitant to give it to him on that basis. Cook or Panesar for mine.

This is the first opportunity I've had to see Prior in a test (well, in any form really) he looks a gun. That cover drive he played about half hour ago was a beauty!

Yeah, I think there's no doubt that he'll get the WI award. We pick one from each side over here though

If Monty has a good 2nd innings here, he'll coast it, I'd have thought. He might win anyway, given that the WI bowling is even worse than their batting, so his achievements are slightly more noteworthy.

Nice to see yet another Beatles LP on CW btw. White album anyone?

You don't have an avatar, why don't you go for it? :)
Nice idea, although the White Album would look rather silly. I wonder how the filter would cope with John & Yoko's full frontal on "Two Virgins".

Of couse, I'll have to work out how to set up one of these things anyway. Actually I think Rubber Soul would really be my album of choice.

EDIT
And done. How nice!

Err could the people with the Beatles avatars at least cross out McCartney the traitorous tosspot? My deathclaw could do it for you if you like.

You can tell how intertesting this Test is by the fact we're getting posts on the Beatles! As for the match, the only way anyone can win now is if the Windies have a Sabina 2004 style collapse (but we ned to get Shiv out for that). Hope PC gets a ton on his home ground. as for the MOTS awards I'd love to know why we have two here, don't think it happens anywhere else. Despite the claims of Sylvester Joseph:laugh: I think we know who'll get the Windies award and it has to be Monty for us as the WI attack has been too crap (especially in the first two Tests) But a thought has struck me.If we were like the other countries and gave just one MOTS award who should get it? I know his team has lost the series, but I'd still say Shiv...

As things stand, yes. If Monty got a five-for to set up another England win, then he'd get my vote.

This is really poor stuff from WI though.

Nice, a 'wheel' (baseball reference) over by Samuels there.

As for McCartney - rewriting the credits to songs, amongst other things he's done that make him a tosspot.

Hmmm if we bowl well tomorrow and they bat like they did @ Headingley, we could be on for victory
