Rashid wasn't even the best spinner in his side in T20 this year.
He trained a bit with Warne in Australia according to CricinfoBorthwick's watched a lot of Warne. His follow through is basically plagiarism.
Don't you think it could have something to do with England looking for some variety to their attack for when they go abroad. They know about Rashid and he's had a poor year, he's also been around the squad before, they've got a left arm spinner so that's why they are not so in a rush to see Briggs. These guys do play outside of England Internationals you know?
I've seen Rashid, Briggs and Borthwick ten or fifteen times a piece this year. Briggs is number 1, Rashid 2nd and Borthwick 3rd.
The thing is though Donald in test match cricket had it around 90-93mph all day. Finn hasn't done that yet in test match cricket.Pitch looks dead for anything over 55mph. Bopara being made to look like a club bowler.
Interesting chat between Nasser and Athers there about the lack of quickies around. Although I'd suggest Atherton is going mental if he doesn't think Finn is a "fast" bowler. He's easily as quick as Allan Donald was! No way was Donald above 93-95mph!
Finn's only about 12 tho. I think he's still younger now than AAD was when he debuted for SA and is obviously getting quicker as he grows into his not inconsiderable length. The thing is though Donald in test match cricket had it around 90-93mph all day. Finn hasn't done that yet in test match cricket.
