If Nick Knight were commentating on that passage of play this is how it would go.
"Wellllllll this looks like it will be given. Strauss hasn't looked comfortable out there THIS morning. Will he be disappointed he hasn't added too much to his over night score? YES. Will he be thrilled to have made a century and helped his side into a winning position? YES"

Allott's a safe pair or hands and RGDW is wonderfully world-weary. Big Bad Bob can get a bit much commentating, but he's very insightful doing the analysis at the end of a day's play.
Both much better than Nicholas Verity who has sat on it for so long he's actually become part of the fence.
Both far better than Knight for my quid.

And whats wrong with making tons in India?
Yes i was talking about what our strongest team is, not that he should be playing in this test,
The man only took five wickets in the last test series, that's NOT good enough and i believe he is holding us back, and regardless of whether he "bowled well yesterday" he still only took one wicket at the end of the day.

Knight surely cannot las long, I mean Beefy is crap but that is just his role.
Rob Key has been really good whenever he has been on, hoping he does more when his playing days are done.

Yeah he's gonna turn up after the IPL because he prefers getting the big money. If he wanted country over club he'd be here already.
Meant that you shouldn't expect them to average that here not that they shouldn't be in the side.And whats wrong with making tons in India?
Fair enough.
For this series he's one of the best options available he might not be the best captain ever but he's forming the Windes into a team which will be much better in the long run, in any case the Windies would struggle to win many of their series with or without Sammy until their batting gets sorted and they get more variety in any of the bowlers.
Instead of bringing Edwards they could have brought Russell who's quick and gets bounce I get a feeling some of the Windies squad selection is purely stat based rather than on potential.
