Strauss shouldn't even be considering a declaration any time tomorrow, no matter how well it goes.

It's a batting paradise atm, make hay while the sun shines etc and look to bat once.

Good progress today. Shouldn't be thinking of a declaration anytime soon IMO. Obviously we want to only bat once and we might as well get as many as we can while it's flat. If we can avoid losing any early and then get past the new ball we should be in a position to make hay.

It was the MS Dhoni vs. the new ball shot from last summer. Looks like it's specifically designed to pick out first slip.
And from SA and Australia. Love that shot.

"He's got a good action"

Brumby to comment.
Bumble's been at the horseradish, IMHO. Just said Shillingford has a good action.

Other adjectives spring more immediately to my mind.

EDIT: Glad not to disappoint...

Have to say Sammy's served up some pies so far.

It's like the poor fellow's only got so much talent and he's used his allocation on his batting this test.

Cue a Michelle now, obvz...
 Yes. I have the same problem, know how he feels.

Yeah quite. Bat, bat, bat. I just hope they continue to play positively though.

england need to try and bat long, preferably into tomorrow. i fear it;ll be like the last test and they'll be out around tea having thrown the bat at the ball. There's loads of time left in the game- bat properly ffs

Dwayne Bravo's far more likeable than Sammy'll ever be.
That's all right, Camps is a lot more likable than you :p

Just realised as i sit here having dinner that the endearing thing about Botham is he hasn't changed. He was a bellicose boor when England was ****, and now they're good he's still a bellicose boor.

Jerusalem playing of course, to inspire the local Jewish community presumably. Jerusalem has as much to do with England as the King of Thailand.

Lol Atherton. "He played Warne well, did Ian Bell". Stupid ****.
Meh, he obviously struggled against him in 2005, but I thought he did OK against him in 2006/07. He did actually say "He played Warne well after a few problems in his early days", or something like that.

Wanre on commentary now, will be interesting to see his opinion :p

I think his opinion would likely have been "Give me three overs at him"....

Belly playing like a dream so far, you must be admiring his sublime batsmanship:)
Nah, he's a down hill skier of the highest order. As we speak he's been done by a straight one.

Look, just because you're pretty to watch don't make you a good player. I used to play a square drive off one knee too til I got too old, doesn't mean a thing.

He meant to say he played him better in 06/07 than in 05 surely. He certainly was better but never really played him well like KP did in 05. I think most Aussies would say only KP and Thorpe ever played Warne securely in ashes matches during Warne's career.

Back to today, could be a good entertaining day, lots of runs scored and a chance for Bairstow to show his stuff. Be annoyed if we don't get 500 at least from here.
