They are still persisting with that chucker, Pete Salmon/?

3 matches are underway,

-Barbados Pride vs Leeward Islands Hurricanes: Barbados are batting first with Kraigg and McCaskie opening, 6 without loss in the 6th over
-CCC vs Trinidad and Tobago Red Force: TT are batting first, 5 for 1 after 5 overs. Goodridge got rid of the opener Mohan for 4
-Windward Islands Volcanoes vs WI Academy: Volcanoes are 15 for 1 in the 7th over, Nyeem Young with the wicket of Jeremy Solozano

The other game starts at 11AM, Guyana Harpy Eagles vs Jamaica Scorpions.

This is some recovery from Guyana Harpy Eagles after being 62 for 6 at one stage, inserted in to bat first by Jamaica.

Since then a total of 206 runs have been scored for the loss of 1 wicket. Kemol Savory brought up his maiden FC century and not too long after smacked the chucker Pete Salmon over the mid-wicket boundary for 2 consecutive sixes. They could have gotten him out after taking the 2nd new ball, but 2nd slip couldn't have held on to a catch that was coming to him at some rate.

Anyways, he's making them pay for it...batting until the cows come home,
and hopefully go on for the double-century tomorrow.

Close of Play Scores, Day One:

Guyana 278/7 (K.Savory 127*, G.Motie 56, O.Shields 3/56) vs Jamaica

Windwards 162 (J.Bishop 4/24, J.Layne 3/30), WI Academy 99/5

Barbados 248/3 (K.Brathwaite 117*, Z.McCaskie 101) vs Leewards

T&T 374/4 (J.Mohammed 157, A.Jangoo 151*, K.Ottley 47, A.Goodridge 3/37) vs CCC

The way that Barbados was going I thought they'd be over 300 at close of play.

Another thing to notice here is that we have overnight batsmen with centuries to their name. This is a rare occurrence in our cricket in the recent past. It shows a shift of the paradigm, probably.

All of a sudden, the keeper reserves for WI looks good: Jangoo, Savory, Imlach, even Carlon Bowen-Tuckett.

Keacy Carty and Mikyle Louis going good for the Leewards in their reply to Barbados' massive 1st innings total of 542/9d

Carty on 86 and Louis on 41
