Well, tomorrow should be an absolute ripper of a game.

My India squad for tomorrow:

Sehwag
Tendulkar
Ganguly (c)
Laxman
Dravid (w/k)
Yuvraj
Badani
Agarkar
Kumble
Pathan
Bhandari

The GABBA is a traditional seamers wicket, so I think Balaji has had his fair run in the side, time to test the always consistent Ranji Trophy bowler, Amit Bhandari. Hemang Badani at 7 provides that much needed solidity in the batting order to prevent the debacle in Melbourne. Also Badani bowled very well down in Hobart, and as much as I want to see Rohan Gavaskar play, Badani should get the slot. VVS Laxman needs to find his form and Ajit Agarkar is riding high on a wave and needs another bag of wickets for that.

Im still thinking Australian win however, but the Indians fought very hard up at the GABBA during the tests, so I wont be surprised if India make a fist of it.

That's if it doesn't rain!

Speaking of Heath Streak, he's been an absolute bomb this season! :wow:

He said before the series that Zimbabwe weren't here to be pushed around and to be made the "third team." It seems only he isn't here to be pushed around. Excellent batting performances in all three games, good bowling. Too bad there aren't more like him on the Zimbabwean team. They could use that heart, that determination, that invaluable quality to try as hard as one can even in the face of pathetic defeat.

If things continue this way, Streak would definitely be my personal MoS.

How quick is Bhandari ? Sangrah, have u seen him ?

I'm not sure if he will be picked tomorrow so it may be a while before he plays in the VB series.

In all 3 matches so far he's been extremely consistent with both bat & ball, and we're talking about the 2 finalists of the World Cup in 2003...but in a losing team, the judges may well look past that.
You would think that it is the other way around.

To only hit 13 fours & 3 sixes in an innings of 172 is quite unbelievable.
Usualy batsman hit alot of there four's in the first 15 overs but Gilly was not really timing the ball that well in his first 50-65 runs and only hit like 5 fours in that time.

Gilly's 150 came off just 110 balls the fastest 150 ever in a men's ODI.

Bhandari is okay, last time i saw him in 1997/98 he was around 128-135 kph mark, your standard stock bowler really.

He might have developed some pace or he might have slacked off really.

are you trying to say a women's odi featured a faster 150?
When Belinda Clarke scored 229* there is no record of how many balls were faced in the innings. But you would think it could be a close call.

I want to see Rohan Gavaskar play.

I still remember when Aussies were touring England, they stopped over at Honk Kong before reaching England, for a One-dayer against ROW. Gavaskar smashed McGrath all around the park. Seemed an exciting prospect back then.

And it would be fun as well to see Gavaskar Sr. commentate on Gavaskar Jr.

A beautiful morning in Brisbane today, all the rain of the past few days seems to have gone. Looking forward to a great day's cricket.

I played against him about 3 years ago and he was pretty outstanding. He opened the batting and looked like a Ganguly-type player; exceptionally strong outside off-stump. He bowled well in that game too. Just a solid all-roundplayer. He might not play Tests and he certainly doesn't have the class of his Dad but nonetheless, a solid player.

We arent talking about womens cricket. We are talking about mens cricket, so when someone says ODIs, they means Mens ODIs.

So next time all you people who want to argue this and be techinal about the whole thing see a thread entiltled Aust6ralai ODI team to play [insert country here], I want them to names the womens team, or at least have a good old whinge about it, becuase that what they are taking it too.

I dont belive that womens cricket games should be classsed as ODIs. There should be a seperate name for it. The field is not elite enoug, and it just creates more technicalities.
