I thought he's looked excellent all summer, and even in the games against NZ before. He's definitely up there.age_master said:Dilshan has 1 good game and all of a sudden hes the 2nd best fielder in the world?
I have been watching him closely since the first NZ SRL game in Queenstown at the start of the year. He has certainly had more than one good game.age_master said:Dilshan has 1 good game and all of a sudden hes the 2nd best fielder in the world?
You forgot John Buchanan.age_master said:Symonds > Ponting > Clarke > Hussey > Dilshan
well i didn't see him in NZ, i only saw him in the VB series and he was excellent for sure. So for now i would still rate Symonds & Ponting ahead of him & maybe he is on par with Clarke..Blaze said:I have been watching him closely since the first NZ SRL game in Queenstown at the start of the year. Ok, I know Andrew Symonds is the best there is but Dilshan deserves more credit than he gets.
He is better than Clarke and certainly better than Hussey.
You missed Mark Viduka, George Gregan, John Howard, Rolf Harris and Dame Edna...age_master said:Symonds > Ponting > Clarke > Hussey > Dilshan
Not to mention Big Kev (R.I.P but still a handy slipper) and Schapelle Corby.marc71178 said:You missed Mark Viduka, George Gregan, John Howard, Rolf Harris and Dame Edna...
I am surprised the Foxsports guys are trying to belittle the poor behaviour of the Aussie fans by trying to say Murali gets heckled all over the world, when this is definitely not true.SpaceMonkey said:They just COULDNT resist having a dig at England at the end there
There is a difference between the above song by the English fans and what he gets in Australia. The personal attack on Murali is generally quite vicious and humiliating as opposed to the good natured humour with which the English fans sing the above song or poke fun. Nor do they continue on , and on and on as it happens in Australia .Despite his claims that Australian crowds are the worst in the world, he has been frequently heckled everywhere he plays.
England fans coined the chant "Throw, throw, throw the ball, gently down the seam, Murali, Murali, Murali, Murali chucks it like a dream".
Exactly my point , Mate.Blaze said:Terrible artice. It makes out that Australia are not worse than the rest when they are blatently the worst.
I went to the Wellington game in the Sri Lanka series and there was no abuse at all.
Exactly what I think.aussie said:well i didn't see him in NZ, i only saw him in the VB series and he was excellent for sure. So for now i would still rate Symonds & Ponting ahead of him & maybe he is on par with Clarke..
