Why are Zimbabwe and Bangladesh good? There's like a talent inversion in under 19 cricket, except for australia, who seem to be turn into mutants whenever they pick up a bat or a ball, whatever the age group

Cause the Zim & BD sides are all full of first class (and Test/ODI - Rahim, Cremer, Williams) experience already, whereas the major nations' kids have barely played FC.

The problem for NZ with these tournaments is that they just don't play enough international U19 matches at home & overseas to know what it's all about. Every other country seems to have matches scheduled for their U19's except us so it's easy to see why we struggle at this level of the game.

Apart from that tour the England team just undertook, I can't remember the last time they played U19 cricket.
