Ah balls. Good game though. Hope these bowlers are looked after and end up in the senior FC system soon. Don't think we scored 200 batting first throughout the tournament so making the semis is a huge credit to the bowlers who almost got the job done today too.
I don't know whether it's been the pitches they've played on, but it's definitely been a bowler friendly tournament. Most of the names to remember seem to be the bowlers.

From an English perspective, the two spinners (Farhan (Rehan's brother) and Ali) were definitely the takeaways.

11 bowlers with sub-10 bowling averages this tournament (so far).

With 5 or 6 of them being 'proper' stats. The rest probably just freakish part-timers.

Tells a bit of a story.

I remember the tournament back in 07/08 was bowling dominant, with the ball hooping all over the place in humid Malaysia.

In Comparison, about 4 players this tournament are having the same sort of tournament performance that Southee and Parnell had back in 08.

One interesting player to look out for is the Scottish batsman Jamie Dunk. He has the 4th highest average at 65, and worth noting that from his 4 matches, 3 were against Eng/SA/WI so it wasn't just the 76 he got against Namibia that boosted his average.

I wonder if a County might take a look at him (not currently signed to one).

Hope so. Only slight, but technically correct and a timer of the cricket ball. Great to see them producing a talented player like that themselves.

Also effectively a top 8 finish for Ireland.

Scotland have some solid established players in the national side, and some solid u19 talent coming through. Brandon mcmullen inparticular is one guy i'm really hyped for going forward.

Konstas is nowhere near ready for the primetime with that technique. Gate big enough to drive an army through

Also can someone explain how Harjas Singh is still getting a game with a top score of 17 in the tournament?

Yeah watched him in the national u19 final and he stayed legside of everything and didn’t move feet much

Good quicks will potentially sort him in no time unless he tightens up

Singh really making @Spark taste this.
Haha he's played well today but tbf he did not look likely in the earlier games at all.

Interested to see how Oliver Peake goes here, feels unusual for Aus to send a guy from what you'd think is the next cohort after this one to a tournament like this.
