This tourney must have been a decent boost for some of the FNQ economies that have been struggling after the cyclone last year

Fantastic six. But I do like the running, and some of the singles too. The technique is solid for someone this young.

WTF? Hook shot? Indian player? Is this bizzaro world?

Should have some kind of system to give these kids experience in Australia, England, SA, etc (and vice versa) as part of some existing FC team.

turner a reasonable offie. would expect your bois to play him well though
Not all these guys have played FC cricket, and none of them have played much. Generally speaking, players who make it out of FC cricket into the international setup tend to be at least decent players of spin because there is almost way to score enough to make the international team without at least doing decent against spin. Not the case here, necessarily. Yuvraj Singh came from the U-19s straight into the international setup, and he was definitely the worst player of spin on the team (though he has since improved and done well domestically).

Stop getting so worked up over kids tournament, all of you. One team wins but no one loses etc. OK?

Makes a similar point in his cricinfo article.
Ah yea, might have read that. But a lot of people have been saying that for a long time. I think it increases everyone's standards. As much as it's fun to see overseas teams struggling in India, it sucks to have people on the team with no idea what the conditions are like in Australia or South Africa.
