Woodster
International Captain
Have just caught up with all the play from day two, so I'm sorry if I repeat anything that's already been said (have read the last few pages, but not managed all those since last night).
Ian Bell's innings was absolutely beautiful, so frequently we have seen such elegant 30's and 40's from him, but this was an innings of real substance aswell as being nigh on technical perfection. His positivity and intent against the slow bowlers was impressive, his driving over the top down the ground were awesome.
Colly played the perfect support role, and was looking in excellent nick himself as his innings progressed. Always think his driving through the offside is an indication of how he is technically, and it looked pretty dam good yesterday.
As for the Aussie 'A' attack, Cameron was very good, ran in all day maintained good pace and got it shape away very nicely. George is the person that least looks like an athlete (perhaps behind Cosgrove), he looks unco-ordinated and very raw, has a lot of room for improvement, and if he is the next one in line for the full Test side, they're in serious trouble. Saw him in India aswell, but this confirmed it. He bowled a decent spell yesterday afternoon, but on the whole thought he was well below par.
Bell off again today, another sumptuous drive through the offside.
