In triathlon, omnium and pentathlon so far GB have 4 gold and 2 silver with one medal possibly still to come. We have events of 3-5 disciplines properly nailed down.

Also the mixed relay races as we won the swimming and triathlon relays. Should be more mixed events.

The Bahrain team are currently at 100%. Kalkidan Gezahegne has just won their first medal, having previously run for Ethiopia.

Close but no cigar for Timothy Cheruiyot. In spite of being so hot on the diamond league circuit this year, only made team Kenya as a wild card selection.

Apparently the German modern pentathlon coach has been thrown out of the games for punching a horse.
Whilst not in any way condoning this action, it's as good a reason as any to take a look at this.

Could be huge for Indian sport - neerajs gold and both hockey teams doing well. I cricket will lose popularity in India in due course.

bcci are also very worried about growth of football in India.

A really strong games from just about everyone in the top six except the USA.

Neeraj was awesome.. Good looking guy too. Hope we see more investment across sports. We could start with having ****ing playgrounds in every school.. instead of the **** we get now in the cities.

Some have it, but it is supposed to be mandatory and they get away with **** like a small assembly area of concrete and putting up a basketball hoop on one side and a very small hockey/football goal on the other.

Like many other things, its just the way the rules that were laid out with proper intentions are by-passed that annoys me.
