*Official* Third Test at the WACA

I genuinely don't like wankers/whingers

Shane Watson, Sreesanth, Stuart Broad, Roger Federer etc. etc.
I think Watson deserves to be seperated from those guys. I mean today and his recent performances have shown character that you would never thought was possible a few years ago.

I don't agree with the whole luck thing. Yes, some players are luckier than others but i think he made his own luck. I mean you do not average 40 in international 20/20 by luck. You dont average 40 with 5000 runs in ODIs by luck. He was a decent player but he was surrounded by great players and that's why he didn't seem quite as good as he really was.
I'd have Symonds right up there amongst the best ODI players I've ever witnessed. I'm merely talking about his Test career.

Your avatar and signature tell me you have a secret obsession with Watson you are trying to cover up.

You know you love this:

I don't know about Hodge averaging 55, but certainly in the 45-50+ range.
I did qualify it with Symonds-like luck. If he had to be dismissed three times every innings before the umpire would give him out and he was allowed to play his first ten Tests for an average of 20 odd and keep getting selected, then I'm sure Hodge's average would have been above 50.

Yeah and i am just justifying his skill from other areas of cricket. His one day game was not much different than his test game. Especially after the likes of Hayden, Langer and Ponting had already scored the runs at the top.

Wtf does him being a good player have to do with him also being a dickhead who talks **** all the time?

 then why are you angry at me when i was pulling someone up on doing that very thing. As well as the fact that you did it 2 adds to humour of this post of yours.
I'm angry at the general behaviour, me getting angry means that i'm frustrated with your apparent lack of any meaningful posting skill, intelligence, creativity, or cricket knowledge

The Australian batting line-up really is odd-looking:

Hughes+Katich: 111@19
Watson: 259@65
Ponting: 83@17
Clarke: 115@23
Hussey: 425@106
Smith+North: 56@14
Haddin: 257@64

A proper tale of two halves. And the figures genuinely seem to reflect how well/badly they've batted, too.
Perhaps they should start treating the batsmen like the bowlers

This is one of the few things on which I disagree with PEWS.

Symonds was awesome, could contribute in so many ways, and regularly did so when Australia most needed him to. You'd kill for Symonds at six in this series.
Oh get real...

Poor Katman, though. One fifty, one innings in a completely hopeless, pointless situation, one where he didn't even face a ball and one where he could barely walk. Poor bloke.

Not so convinced with UDRS though.

Agree with your basic sentiment however.
Just get rid of it, it's a gentleman's game. We need to return to the days of respecting the game and your opponent, and the umpires decision, then we can concentrate on the game some more, instead of ponsing around and glaring at each other and crying about injustices of the game

Na, I admit on the field Watson has the occasional brain **** where he does something incredibly immature like that Gayle incident, but whenever I've seen him doing press stuff he seems perfectly humble and normal to me.

I think Australia was easily the better side today, but England can still take positives out of it. They've already taken 3 wickets and the pitch will still improve I feel.

Barring the last little paragraph of your post in response to many other people on this forums posts every single one of those had absolutely nothing to it :-O. I have backed up all my arguments.

Don't agree. If you were given a decent system, and were given the option to improve it, why wouldn't you do it?

The main aim for it is to remove the howlers, and for that purpose it's very good imo.

We're actually disagreeing in two different threads at the moment. :(

Tremlett was a real positive. When Finn's luck runs out and it will it will be interesting to see how their starting attack looks in say a years time.

The system is inept because the people running it are inept, take it out of their hands. Players need to get over the incorrect decisions. that's kind of my point.
