Warner: I've not hit that.
Clarke: You have. You've hit that.
Warner. I'll hit you.
Clarke: OK, review it.

Does Clarke change his approach now? Was smashing it for fun while Smith was there, but clearly needs to get a really big one now.

You'd think Clarke would have told him not to review it.

But it ****s me no end when these commentators say you definitely know you've hit the ball. That's utter bull****. Can't believe anyone who's played cricket for any length of time can say that with such certainty.
I reckon Clarke's standing there going "Mate, I reckon you hit it" and Warner, being as thick as two planks, headstrong and never wrong, has gone "Clarkeh pls, I hit my pad", and Clarke's resigned himself to the fact that Warner's reviewing no matter what.

That might cut it for any other batsmen. But as the more experienced batsmen AND captain, he should have told him he's a dreamer

So, i haven't been around since before lunch yesterday. What's the conclusion. Runway for the seamers but offering something to the spinner? Or have we just been ****?
A little of both. Broad's been unlucky, Anderson's been poor. Bresnan has at least kept it tight.

That's a pretty poor drop. Wrong-footed him, but he got there easily, actually went to far with the glove. Haddin should be gone.

Haddin's FCA = 10.

it raises an interesting question of what the non-striker should say when the striker is 100% sure he didnt hit and can explain himself (eg i smacked the pad), keeping in mind clarke may not have been in the best position to see/hear the edge

STAT ALERT: Swann has taken 17 wickets in the series - the most by an England spinner in an Ashes series since Emburey's 18 in 1986-87.

Interesting stat, just shows how crap our spinners have been, and how good the Aussies have been at playing them in that time.

I am relying on the cricinfo commentary and CW to keep me updated but sounds like as if it was Root who had clobbered Warner (and not the other way round) resulting in a head injury.

Poor from Prior there.

I'm really confused as to what the rush is..
Same, unless they've decided they're only gonna bat for twenty more overs or so and hence decided to use all their wickets to pump up the score
