Going to be a massive match this one as it could easily see England become the number 1 side in the world, at worst if the weather intervenes we will win the series.
Simply can't see how India can come back after the 2 thrashings they have had. They are good players we all know that but they don't look a unit at present and maybe after the World Cup win at home this is a case of "After the Lord Mayor's show" for them?
If India are to fight back Zaheer has to be fit, pure and simple he is more important to the side than any of the fantastic bats they have as without him they are a toothless attack. Harby should be dropped as he looks totally disinterested, no sign of an injury when batting (funny that) so you have to question if he bottled it at Trent Bridge when he saw the going was tough.
England also have selection problems though, who replaces Trott if he is unfit and the nice problem of which pace bowler to leave out if Tremlett is fit. Better problems to have though when you are 2-0 up.

With England ahead and having no problems in keeping the opposition to under 300 all series, I guess they can afford to be defensive (if one can call it that based on the series' scoreline) and continue playing 4 quality bowlers.
I'm just wary of the 5 bowler strategy with Morgan as a specialist bat after remembering the 2nd test in the 2008 South African series.

Can't see why we would go 5 bowlers when 2-0 in the series.
India have to come back at Edgbaston. At least Sachin was apparently looking much better, Dravid is in prime form and Laxman looks good. If Sehwag and Ghambir are ins I can certainly see India making a big score. Can they take 20 wickets though? Scoreboard pressure could do it I guess.

India's bowling looks quite harmless really (although they put up a good show in the first innings). As one cricinfo analysis pointed out that the Indian bowling is the worst at removing the tail. Zaheer for all his top stats in removing the top order has not been quite as adept at removing the tail I suppose. Even here in this test match India just could not mop up the tail cheaply and it cost them heavily. Zaheer's fitness issues are becoming a serious problem

Zaheer probably can't remove the tail as by then he is knackered. Great new ball bowler but looks pretty ordinary later on in comparison due to fitness issues.

Quite a few of the likely lads play for the Loins versus SL A tomorrow so we'll have a decent form guide. Bell to #3 and Taylor in at five would be my pick from this far out, but if Hales, Bairstow, Ravi or even Kieswetter massively outscore him cases could be made for any of them.

True. Taylor the facourite but I'd have either Hales or Stokes ahead of the latter three, depending on form.
