*Official Third Test at Edgbaston

Pizzorno

State Vice-Captain
I love Hauritz me. Much maligned before the series yet other than the Hilf he's been Australia's best bowler.

By passing 18 runs, Bopara has now made up for dropping Hilfenhaus. Effectively, he is on 3 runs now :) .
Nah, still on -4 IMO. Responsible for the 22 runs scored after the drop since Australia would have been all out had he taken it. Moves on to -2 now.

at least Watto looks like he thinks he can. Ambition ahead of ability perhaps.

The Aussies are not looking like getting another wicket. FFS

Partnership added 22 more runs after that dropped catch, so hes still in arrears.
He looks the most confident and relaxed at the crease he has all series, hopefully he will make it count. I have always rated his talent but if he doesn't make a score in this test then the calls for him to be dropped for Headingley will be very strong. The only thing that may save him would be a lack of obvious options to come in to replace him, Stephen Moore would be my pick FTR.

But of course hopefully he tons up here and puts all of that debate to rest.

I hope so too, there is no doubt that he is talented. But he is a bundle of nerves at the crease, reminds me almost of Mark Ramprakash. Needs to just relax and play the ball on its merits rather than come in with any sort of pre-conceived plan.
